Hah, I didn’t realise that the town was actually separate from the bay of Flam. That was the tourist region. Hmm, it did seem so small. my train was today so it would not be possible to go to the real town… or even see the closer site that attracts many tourist: The chapel. I really should have researched the area a bit more.
Wow. Out of any train trips, it was the one from Flam that is the hottest train trip I have ever done. This was equally as good as Sojnefjorden ferry ride.
Getting back to Oslo I had to collect myself to understand a bit more Norwegian. I had planned to met Ingjerd at her place. Well, her place was another train ride away from the CBD. It was kind of interesting to try and discover a place that was amidst university residential zone, which was not near the station (about 1km or so). Well, finally making it to her place, I think the surprise was for the both of us: Me for discovering it, and Ingjerd for seeing someone she had seen from across the globe previously.
With the catch up done, and meeting of her flat mates, it was actually fairly late. For the next few days it was a mixture of solo and with Ingjerd during the day and a chance to keep busy in the evenings.
